Strasbourg vs Toulouse

Five meetings sit on file and they are not a goals fixture. Strasbourg won 2-0 at home on 27 August 2023. The return on 7 April 2024 finished 0-0 at Toulouse. Strasbourg then won 1-2 at Toulouse on 12 January 2025 and 2-1 at home on 16 March 2025. The most recent meeting, on 6 December this season, went to Toulouse 1-0 at their own ground, a goal up at half-time and holding it.

Thirteen goals conceded in 15 home matches is the number that argues against this selection, and the shape behind it is worse for a BTTS backer: seven of those 15 home games were clean sheets, including 5-0 against Angers, 3-0 against Auxerre and 2-0 against Lille. The recent away form is where the argument for goals comes from: 3-4 at Metz on 15 March, 3-1 at PSG on 3 April and 3-2 at Lens on 17 April. The first factor is the collision between Strasbourg's home defence and Toulouse's away scoring. The bet needs the visitors' rate to hold against the better of the two records, and that is the whole question.

The thing that beats it is Strasbourg's clean-sheet habit at home. Seven shut-outs in 15 there, and a fixture history in which Toulouse have scored once in the two matches on file at this ground. If Strasbourg get the first goal, the reverse fixture in December — Toulouse 1-0, decided before half-time and then closed down — is a reminder of how tightly this pairing can be managed.
