Whoever is at home in this fixture wins it, and wins it by exactly one goal. CA Osasuna 1-0 Getafe CF made that three from three in eleven months, and the half-time score was already 1-0 — the only goal of the afternoon arrived in the first half and then had to be defended for 45 minutes.

The pre-match records were close and small. Osasuna had four points from two, a goalless home draw with Levante followed by a 2-1 win at Celta in which they had trailed at the interval, giving them a +1 difference and seventh place. A one-goal away defeat at a mid-table opponent is entirely in character and settles nothing about their season. What it does settle is that the nine-point gap in May bought them no advantage here.
