RCD Espanyol de Barcelona 3-0 Levante UD: Primera Division Match Report

The last time these clubs met at Cornellà-El Prat the match finished goalless. This one did not resemble it: RCD Espanyol de Barcelona 3-0 Levante UD, two goals up by half-time and a third after the break, on the opening weekend of the season.

The scale of it is what stands out, because nothing in the recent record pointed there. The two meetings in 2025/26 finished 1-1 and 0-0 — two matches, two goals, no winner — and the clubs finished eleventh and sixteenth with four points between them. Levante actually outscored their hosts across that season, 47 to 43, while conceding 61, the joint-heaviest total in the division.
