That 6-0 is the number that flattered them coming into this tie, and the 2-1 defeat to Switzerland was the better guide. Canada were a side capable of overwhelming the weakest opposition and vulnerable against organised teams, which is exactly the profile that produces a 1-0 in a knockout match.
