The visitors trailed at the interval and won: TSG 1899 Hoffenheim 2-3 Borussia Dortmund, from 1-0 to the home side at the break. Four of the five goals came after it, which is where a total settles or does not.

The fixture had a habit and the habit held. Four of the previous five meetings at Hoffenheim's ground had produced at least three goals, eighteen across the five, and this makes it five of six. Neither of those is a change. Two rounds in, both clubs have produced a version of what they were.

Both were real, and the fixture side won. It is worth being clear that the bet did not need Hoffenheim to be good or Dortmund to be careless — only for this pairing at this ground to behave as it has in four of the previous five meetings. It behaved that way, and 1.60 was a fair rather than generous price for taking that side.
